Community Redevelopment Agency

The City of Springfield established a Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) by Resolution 07-05 adopted March 30, 2007.  The purpose of this agency is to eradicate blight conditions within the Springfield Community Redevelopment Area (see map below).

When the City designated the CRA area in 2007, the tax increments above the value at that time are set aside every year in a separate fund for CRA improvements.

Each year, the CRA board will meet to discuss what projects the City will complete as funds allow.  Please see the Goals & Objectives Analysis below.

If you have any questions regarding the CRA, please contact Teresa Cox, CRA Clerk at 850-872-7570 x113.

The Springfield Redevelopment Agency will consider approval of Resolution 25-02 Amending the FY24-25 CRA Budget and Resolution 25-03 Adopting the FY25-26 CRA Budget at a Public Hearing scheduled for September 15, 2025, at 5:30pm immediately following the City Commission Meeting. The meeting will be held at Springfield City Hall, 408 School Ave., Springfield, FL 32401.
