07/18/2023 - Assistance Needed in Locating Stabbing Suspect

On July 18, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Springfield Police Department responded to 3401 E Business Highway 98 in reference to a stabbing. Once on scene, officers located one subject with a stab wound to the left side of the body. The Victim has been transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Investigators have identified 44-year-old Calvin Lovelle Pittman as a suspect. Mr. Pittman was last seen leaving the scene in a white Ford Fusion missing a rear windshield, bearing Florida tag 23DIAJ, westbound on E 3^rd Street. Mr. Pittman should be considered armed and dangerous, and the public should not attempt to approach him.
